TNCC promises unemployment allowance [same side goal as there are many in TNCC] in their finally released manifesto. Just a day ahead of the closure of filing of nominations for the May 8 Assembly polls, the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee managed and released its manifesto. They are claiming it to be a document focusing on people's welfare.
The Manifesto was flown to Chennai on a special airplane from New Delhi. The delay was blamed on the Prime Minster office; they had to wait for a written consent from Soniaji, who is currently very busy writing resignation letters. Also to be on the safe side Congress high command discussed about this manifesto with Left [out], middle, center, straight, angle, curve, polygon parties of their secular coalition. Our reporter “தலைநகர்” Thanikachalam says after pacifying every member in the coalition, the manifesto was sent to an address in Gopalapuram, Chennai, where few changes were made and was finally sent to Satyamurthy Bhavan [No-No not a cozy Chettynad Restaurant] via Registered post. Hope the manifesto addresses the internal factions in TNCC - “we will not fight among over selves” – a must in their election manifesto.

Poll observers are in Tamil Nadu. The Election Commission has deputed 284 IAS officers from other states including West Bengal, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Of the 284 observers, 50 would monitor the election expenditures of candidates and political parties.

'Voters don't see a need for change in TN' says noted analyst Cho Ramaswamy
He mentioned in an interview that people are happy with the government. People are happy with tsunami relief, flood relief, the free cycle scheme etc. In spite of picture perfect political predictions [pppp] in the past, most don’t agree with his opinions or take him seriously. In a recent speech [Jan 14th], he mentioned “people should decide based on Stalin or Jayalalitha”. Time will tell.

Union minister P.Chidambaram locked horns with Vaiko on the rice issue. He released some mathematical figures to prove 10 kg of rice was not possible by the state government. But seeing those numbers, DMK high-command was little worried. Hope the Ganesha mold does not end up as monkey.

Putting an end to speculations, AIFB leader and actor Karthick on Wednesday waste of time…forget it... No big news.

Madurai, April 19 DMK candidate and Former Speaker P T R Palanivelrajan, contesting from the Madurai Central constituency, today assured that an IT park would be established in the city if he was elected. Talking to newsmen here, Palanivelrajan said a recent survey had revealed that most of the employees of the IT firms across the country and abroad were from Madurai. [மெய்யாலுமா!???? I like to see this Survey.] The city would prosper if they worked here, he added. He also said that the two main channels running across the city would be cleaned. [I think he means SunTV and Jaya TV..]
